Brielle Grace Breast Cancer Foundation
Pellegrino Integrative Cancer Center and Brielle Grace Breast Cancer Foundation have formed a collaboration to help support breast cancer patients in treatment in the Hudson Valley in order to improve quality of life and help people on their healing journey. The Brielle Grace Breast Cancer Foundation works to provide financial support for breast cancer patient's medical bills, fund mammograms for early breast cancer detection, donate to New York research facilities, and give hope and strength. Breast Cancer Options
Breast Cancer Options has a Massage & Acupuncture Program for women with breast cancer that allows a certain number of women to receive some needed holistic care at no cost to them. This program is made possible by a grant from the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation. Pellegrino Integrative Cancer Center participates in this programming as a provider of approved massage therapy and acupuncture. Massage therapy and acupuncture have been shown to offer a number of benefits for breast cancer patients. The immediate benefits of both therapies include reduced stress and anxiety, help in controlling lymphedema, and increased energy. Massage and acupuncture are also shown to improve immune function, including increased NK cell numbers in breast cancer patients.
